Awards and Recognition
Over more than sixty years of publication, Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine and its authors have been honored with numerous awards and nominations. AHMM stories have been recognized by both mystery writers, through awards presented by their professional associations, and by fans, at annual conventions. Our stories have won or been finalists for Edgar Awards from the Mystery Writers of America; Shamus Awards from the Private Eye Writers of America; Anthony Awards at the annual Bouchercon convention; Agatha Awards at the Malice Domestic convention; Ellis Awards from the Canadian Mystery Writers Association; and Derringer Awards from the Short Mystery Fiction Society. We have also been thrilled to have our writers recognized with the Robert L. Fish Award for Best First Mystery by an American author from the MWA.
Moreover, our stories and authors are regularly featured in the annual Best Mystery Stories of the Year anthologies. But our most important recognition, of course, is the loyalty and support of our readers. It is for them that we seek to publish the very best in mystery and suspense stories in every issue.
